• Hi Elaine, In High schools, we use parentpay and accept cash. pre-order for breakfast, morning break and lunch. We have never stopped doing counter service and not all but the majority of items are pre-packed. in Primary Schools, parentpay only, pre-order for lunch only and counter service with full menu being served.

• From S.L.C. The main issue has been the reaction to the reduction in the size of home baking, expected more. the issue for the service is in measuring the impact on uptake as we are still operating covid bubbles in High Schools. Complaints on a par with any menu change. Kitchen staff have been very supportive and report no issues. As stated above, High Schools currently operating at 1/2 normal uptake but this is not associated with the revised regulations, it is covid arrangements. Primary schools, no impact to speak of.

• Hi Rick, at S.L.C. we have: Within the janitorial service do you as a Local Authority pay contractual overtime? If yes, how many hours are paid per annum? Janitors who started prior to 2016 have on average 131 hours of enhanced rate contractual overtime. Around 65 of the 181 on our establishment. New employees do not have contractual overtime as we employ part time let cover and weekend access staff How do you monitor the hours worked against the hours paid? The Janitorial control centre provide a 4 weekly account of hours balances still to be worked. i.e. each janitor starts the year with a balance of 131 and it is used for in the main let cover and decreases as the year goes on. If no contractual overtime is paid what system do you have in place for situations such as attending alarm activations and snow clearing etc? Call outs are attended by a private company who are on the Scotland excel contract. An individual adverse weather plan for each premise allows for 1 safe route prior to 8.30am which allows the janitor 1 hours to clear and salt a path after starting at 7.30am. • Hi Keith, can't compare to 2,700 as my largest is 1,900 however: we have street area where main service is, mobile service area at 5th & 6th year common room, a go fresh cafe van and vending machines

• Hi Steven, god question as I think most authorities would bite your hand off for a 'one stop shop' type of solution. My response is:

  • Site cleaning audits - I started working with PSE around 15 months ago to develop an APP and it is now at the stage of being introduced at a cost of £600 per authority.
  • Gross internal floor areas (GIFA) - The Council's property section have these on a system named CONFIRM and we as the cleaning provider has access when requested.
  • Floor surfaces - vinyl, carpet, wood etc. - Contained in the above
  • Stock levels on-site - paper trail
  • Customer satisfaction surveys - e-mailed to customers quarterly and held centrally in a file.
  • Floor cleaning machinery on-site (including historical repairs, PAT data, life cycle etc.) All repairs in house and details kept on assett register spreadsheet by janitorial control centre
  • Employee data - who is on-site, hours, work pattern etc. - Central personnel files known as (people connect) In addition, each officer has a unit profile on laptop
  • If possible, potentially capture all cleaning training and development. _ captured by the training department on (people connect)

• Hi, we have been asked to electrostatically spray polling stations that are not Council properties (we already spray Schools) prior to the election and on the day I have proposed that we leave covid guard and paper rolls for the election staff, this is still to be confirmed.

• Hi, hope this is helpful Our daily cleaning schedule has changed to a 'sanitising' specification where there is reduced floor maintenance and increased sanitisation of surfaces and touch points We are using electrostatic sprayer with Ultra to decontaminate. In care and childrens homes we are using the Control product which lasts 28 days
