    • Hi Gerry, Each menu cycle we do a standard dairy, gluten and egg free menu, as well as a CHO and vegan menu. We then create bespoke menus for children with one or more allergens. We aim for simple swaps where appropriate and only adapt recipes if its not going to be too much of an increased workload for cooks. We have production units which batch cook some recipes and send out eg. home baking to relieve some pressure on staff as well. If there are no simple swaps or recipe adaptions then we will offer a baked potato, but need to offer at least one hot option alongside the sandwich option - but not always possible depending on complexity of diet. We require some kind of a medical letter as well as in the past parents would put in for likes and dislikes. I do find special diets are quite time consuming, especially as the requests are ever increasing.

    • Hi Christine, yeah that was the kind of lines I was thinking as well, I also believe that Acesulfame-K is a sweetener that is sweeter than sugar so perhaps that's also why. Thank you for you help!

Any help would be appreciated, have a parent asking, thanks. Water, Fruit and vegetable concentrates (beetroot and carrot), Acid (Citric Acid), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Flavouring, Acidity Regulator (Tri Sodium Citrate), Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid), Sweeteners (Sucralose, Acesulfame-K),

    • That's unfortunate, think its going to be a struggle to find a hot chocolate that meets the guidance but still has some flavour to it.

    • Triopical Ice who are a division of Karing international limited, I believe they are based in Glasgow. We went sent an email with their new HC and just wondered if anyone else had experienced them. Can you let me know how your trial goes please? Would be interesting to hear if a nice tasting compliant HC does exist.
