• Hello! All Dumfries and Galloway Council “day-time cleaners” are on fixed term contracts with an expected end date of 30 June 2021. Fixed term contracts are reviewed and extended regularly in line with budget adjustments and also in line with recruitment policy.

• Hello! D&G have started discussions with the Election team. Initial discussions look likely to sanitise spray all polling stations ahead of polling. Sanitising products will be made available at all polling stations for cleaning between voters, as well as alcohol wipes being made available for voters to adopt our "Find it Clean; Keep it Clean" ethos. Polling stations will be equipped with alcohol sanitising gel at entry and exit points. To allow non-cleaning staff to clean between voters, we will create a training video to be included with other training material for Polling Managers.
